Story :Pawan Kalyan plays the role of a stubborn cop, Venkat Ratnam Naidu, in kondaveedu.
He is well known for his eccentricity and also for his corruption.
As a kid, he watches ‘Sholay‘ movie and gets inspired with villain character and renames himself as Gabbar Singh.
He grows up to become a police officer, who is posted to his hometown ‘kondaveedu‘, where he is brought face to face with Siddhappa Naidu (Abhimanyu Singh), who is a local goonda and a political aspirant.
Gabbar Singh also has a mother(suhasini), who remarries and lives with her family in same town.
While dealing with local goondas and politics, Gabbar Singh meets Bhagya Lakshmi (Shruti Haasan) and falls in love with her.
But bhagya’s father(Kota) is a habitual drunkard, who needs to be convinced for their marriage.
Now, Gabbar has to deal with his love, other problems created due to his step father and his son etc.
How he deals with all of them with his eccentric behaviour, needs to watched on big screen.
Performances : Pawan excells with his thikka as a tough police.
His dialogues, mannerisms, comedy timing, action, dances all will go well with fans.
He got a much better character to perform after long time and he doesn’t disappoint anyone.
Shruti Haasan looks beautiful but she still carries somewhat modern woman attitude, which mismatches for her village-belle character.
But her screen presence is very much limited.
Abhimanyu Singh doesn’t do anything better or different than he did as ‘bukka reddy’ in ‘rakta charitra’.
Comedy by Brahmanandam as ‘Recovery agent Ranjith Kumar’, Ali as ‘constable samba’ is hilarious.
Especially the combination scenes of Pawan and Ali as ‘Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Samba’ are the best.
Rao Ramesh has a guest appearance, while Nagineedu as hero’s stepfather, Suhasini as his mother live upto their roles.
Ajay as hero’s stepbrother, and Kota as heroine’s father, are two wasted actors, though their characters had scope for performance.
Tanikella Bharani does an insignificant character for his stature.
‘Happy Days’ gayatri got a small role as shruti’s friend, and she comes up with a surprising performance.
Malaika Arora Khan sizzles in the item song Kevvu Keka.
Analysis : Gabbar Singh is an adaptation of Salman Khan’s Dabangg and not a 100% remake.
About 30-40% screenplay has been changed for telugu version.
Pawan’s entry in rickshaw with ee petaku nene mestri song in background, antyakshari scene in police station, romantic track between the lead pair, picturization of all songs, action sequences are good.
Odds are lady voice who dubbed for shruti haasan, lack of emotional depth and drama between hero and his family towards climax.
Director Harish Shankar, just like his previous movie Mirapakaay, has concentrated on projecting the hero with eccentricity and trademark comedy in first half, but missed out on gripping narration and strong emotional drama in second half.
Production values of Parameswara Arts are good.
Cinematography by Jayanan Vincent, Action sequences by Ram-Lakshman, D.I and coloring are excellent. Editing is okay.
Dialogues written by Harish Shankar, Devi Sri Prasad’s background score are worth mentioning.
Bottomline : A must watch movie for pawanfans, as he returns with energetic performance after long time.
Its a treat to watch his high voltage performance on screen.
For others too, it would be entertaining, as long as you keep your intellectual brains shut towards climax.
Overall, its a KEVVU KEKA….. movie for fans.

Kevvu Keka : mother of all item songs

It’s official! Kevvu Keka song from Gabbar Singh movie is now the mother of all Item Songs!
Musician Devi Sri Prasad and lyricist Sahithi have become trademark for commercial masala item songs, ever since they started working together for Venky movie’s Silakemo Sikaakulam song in 2004 and continued their trend till Gabbar Singh (2012).
Their hit folk songs were famous in movies like King, Aarya 2 etc.
Ever since the music was released last month, this song was the chartbuster, irrespective of the place.
If everyone thought that only audio sounded good but pawan, may not dance upto the expectations, then must see his dance in video of kevvu keka, below.
Energy of Malaika was well mixed with typical mannerisms and gestures of pawan kalyan to make a perfect example of how mass masala songs should be choreographed.
This one song is enough to make fans comeback to theatres repeatedly this summer to watch Gabbar Singh again and again.
One can expect fans to run towards the screens and start dancing when this song starts in the movie.

Pawan Kalyan plans motion-capturing movie like Rajinikanth

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is planning to make a film ala Kochadaiyaan style.
Yes, the star is contemplating on using the motion-capturing technology in his next film.
He is reportedly in talks with the director and technicians on the likelihood of incorporating this technology.
Recently, Rajinikanth is acting with such technology for his upcoming movie and its the first time to be used in india.
Pawan Kalyan is currently awaiting the release of Gabbar Singh and will move over to Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu from june.
After this project is wrapped up, he will join Trivikram Srinivas for their venture together in August or September.

‘Dil’ Raju confident after watching Gabbar Singh preview

Producer and Distributor ‘Dil’ Raju has already taken nizam area rights for Gabbar Singh movie.
He has recently watched its preview and is confident that ‘Gabbar Singh’ will break all previous records if projected properly with good theatres.
So, he is pressurizing producer bandla ganesh to give him krishna district rights too.
But bandla ganesh is releasing this movie on his own in krishna district.
‘Dil’ Raju is claiming that gabbar singh will show peaks of pawanism from pawanfans and will end up as the biggest hit in 2012.
That is why he is making tempting offers to bandla ganesh for distrbution rights.

Gabbar Singh special benefit show tickets for 2000 Rs

Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh movie has been screened for censorboard members just now and it got U/A certificate. Movie run time is 2 hours 29 minutes.
All preparations are being made for a grand release on 11th may 2012.
Benefit shows will be at 7 AM in few centers of hyderabad and other districts and SPECIAL TICKETS are being sold for Rs 2000 and still there is demand for such a rate.
If one can recall, even Pawan’s earlier venture ‘Panjaa’ had been sold for a whopping Rs 1500 across few theatres in Hyderabad.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singhmovie audio release function will take place at Shilpa Kala Vedika, hyderabad, on evening of 15th april.
Producer Ganesh Babu has planned to start the release of audio from the holy city tirupati, where one song will be released.
Then the team will fly to vizag to release another song.
Finally, remaining four songs will be released in Shilpa Kala Vedika auditorium.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming movieGabbar Singh is getting ready for release in may 2012.
Though its a remake of hindi hit movieDabangg, director Harish Shankar has added much more comedy and high voltage action with powerful dialogues in this telugu version.

There are some horse riding scenes like inMagadheera and pawan’s comedy scenes along with his action sequences are said to be the highlight of this movie.
Introduction and climax fights are shot with fresh ideas and pawan was impressed with the work done for these sequences.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh movie release date is fixed and it is 9th may 2012.
Director Harish Shankar today tweeted that “GabbarSingh almost finished ; Guys super excited to release on May 9th“.

Gabbar Singh will be shooting its climax fight from 9th of this month and then a duet and item song will be left, which will be finished by april.

Producer Ganesh Babu wanted to give some space to Ramcharan’s Racha, which would release in last week of march and would complete 6 weeks run before Gabbar Singh arrives.

Also Gabbar Singh’s one schedule was altered because pawan decided to give time and location at pollachi to Jr.NTR for his Dammu movie shooting, couple of weeks back.

Gabbar Singh’s first teaser has crossed 1 million views after 4 days on youtube and its music CDs will be released in 3rd week of april 2012.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster hits Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari & Gang Leader were also released on 9th may in 1990 and 1991 respectively and completed 100 days run exactly on his birthday (22nd august).
Lets hope Gabbar Singh also repeats the history.

Gabbar Singh climax shooting completed

The climax fight sequence of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ has been completed and the action sequences  were composed and supervised by twin fight masters Ram – Lakshman.
These scenes were shot at mount opera, near ramoji film city.
The unit will be traveling abroad on the 10th for canning a song sequence.
Before leaving for abroad, Gabbar Singh’s audio release is planned on april 8th in an unique fashion, by launching it in 3 different cities (tirupati, vizag and hyderabad) on same date at different timings using helicopters.
Now Gabbar Singh is left with only 2 songs (duet in foreign and an item number) to be shot.
Producer Ganesh Babu is planning audio release on 8th april and movie release on 9th may 2012.

Producer Ganesh Babu of Parameswara Arts is planning Triple Dhamaka ! for megafans on april 7th.
He is planning Gabbar Singh audio release at three different places in andhra pradesh on same date.
According to the plan being sketched out, the music will be released in Tirupathi(Rayalaseema), then in Vizag(Coastal Andhra) and then in Hyderabad(Telangana) to cover all three regions of the state.
For this, he is planning to hire few helicopters to shift the lead cast and main unit between three cities on same date.
If everything goes according to the plan, this will be the most extravagant music release in all languages of indian cinema.

Gabbar Singh movie director Harish Shankar has named the first teaser of his movie as “Arakshanam lo Arachakam”.
